Creating Your First Article

Articles in Clayo are written entirely through your AI coding tool. There's no web editor — just describe what you want and your agent handles the rest.

Writing an article

Ask your agent something like:

"Create a help article explaining how to invite team members to a project."

The agent will use the create_article tool behind the scenes, writing the content in markdown and placing it in the collection you specify.

Articles start as drafts

By default, new articles are created as drafts. This gives you a chance to review the content before it goes live. When you're ready, ask your agent to publish it.

Organizing with collections

Articles live inside collections, which are groups shown in your docs sidebar. You can ask your agent to:

  • Create a new collection
  • List existing collections
  • Place an article in a specific collection

Tips for good docs

  • One topic per article — keep articles focused so they're easy to find
  • Use clear titles — your title becomes the heading and the search result
  • Let the agent iterate — ask it to revise, expand, or simplify after the first draft
